The Twelve Days of Christmas

Now, here's an à propos clip. Thanks to Catgil for the early Christmas present. I daresay I've never seen David sport a more adorable smile than he does after he sings his Pooh bear line.

BTW, this clip is from the 1982 "Frank Mills' Christmas Special". Frank Mills is the Canadian pianist who wrote the catchy instrumental "Music Box Dancer" which became a huge hit for him in 1978. I have very vivid memories of my father turning up the volume when this tinkly piano tune came on the radio - can't believe that was over thirty years ago.

Thanks for that DD!! That was fun. David's harmonizing is wonderful as it always is.

I always learn some things when reading your blog and the comments from others. I didn't realize Frank Mills wrote the Music Box Dancer. It was really great hearing that again.

Thanks for posting this. I saw it on YT t'other day and must have watched it about 20 times already. Trying to get in the xmas spirit. He's so cute and sings beautifully, even though it's all cheesey as hell. Who's the lady on the right? Never seen her before.

I want to say she's Loni Anderson, but she's someone else, she used to be on tv all the time back then.

David's smiles after the 3 Pooh bears lines are the best part of the clip. Fun!

She's Barbara Eden of I Dream of Jeanie.

I used to watch reruns of this show. I think it's pretty funny.

Singmedavid beat me to it. I loved I Dream of Jeannie too! Does everyone know that "I Dream of Jeannie" and "The Partridge Family" were filmed on the same lot and both houses were next to each other? Now you do. :)

No, I didn't know! Thanks!

Thank you. I can see its her now. She looks different without the Jeanie hair/costume. Thanks also for the trivia, that's interesting.

Hijack warning...this has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but it's just so much fun I had to share it...

Brilliant! Thanks.

I'm a secret watcher of vintage Sesame Street myself. C is for cookie that's good enough for me ......Love it. The coolest moment ever has to be Stevie Wonder singing Superstition live in the early 70's.

Ah, the halcyon days of not worrying about BPA in a rubber ducky. Leave it to Sesame Street to make jazz accessible to preschoolers. That was fun! Thanks for sharing, SLK. I get teary-eyed watching vintage Sesame Street. Silly, but there you go.
