"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"...

Love the bells at the beginning of this Partridge Family version. LOVE the way David sings "feeling" (0:48). Who wouldn't try to stop under the mistletoe* with him?!

*For those unfamiliar with the tradition: a couple standing under hanging mistletoe must kiss. For those interested in the history of the tradition, some info here.

Spellbinding!!!! :-))))) Both his voice and the thought of being under the mistletoe with him!! I am a hopeless case.

I wonder if his voice is as entrancing to the guys that lust after him.

More 'ear candy', thanks for that singme.

Only David could put the X factor into Xmas! How can singing Xmas songs be so sexy!!

You can be a broken record anytime you like DD (jingle bells comment). 'David has the sultriest voice ever'.
Sultry = expressing or arousing
desire
= sensual, sexually exciting
or gratifying

I think I've come out in a hot flush and need a lie down!!!

You know, it's hard to figure out when his voice is at it's most sultry.
a) The young David with his long drawn out and breathy vocals.
b) The RCA era and early 90's rock style David with that sexy, rough edge to his voice.
c) The mature, deep and soulful sounding David who knows how to tease! (when he's on top form).

I love listening to his music in chronological order to pick the changes he makes to his 'sound'. I've never heard a more versatile and comely voice as his. Think I'm heading into broken record territory!
Happy holidays!!

I was shopping in our local Dollar Tree Store recently and David's version of this song was on the radio. I recognized it right away and thought, "Oh my gosh, that's David Cassidy!" I have a copy of the Partridge Family's Christmas Card album on tape and this is one of my favorites. Love it, love it, love it!

That is SO cool, Kelly. I'd be grinning like a total doofus if I ever heard the PF while shopping. Welcome, btw.

This song is their best Christmas song cover, I think.

Wow Kelly!! Do you live in the States? Because I haven't heard anything on the radio or musak type thing by him.

Yes, I live in California. Even here, it's a rare thing to hear David Cassidy on the radio these days. When I do hear him on the radio, I can't help getting a little excited. I think anybody would if they love David Cassidy as much as I do!

I envy you hearing that. I did hear a song of his once on the radio back in the mid-90s I think it was. His voice just grabbed me and I instantly recognized it, even though I hadn't listened to him in two decades. It was thrilling!!! I was very happy to hear that. I guess that was a sign of things to come for me eventually, when I'd be swooned by his singing every day once again. :-)
