What a way to end the year!
David's interpretation of this song really showcases his vocal talent. On reflection, I think his voice in mid 70's was at it's very best. When I hear the intro to this, I keep expecting 'Daydream' like on the album.
You know, someone should seriously get this album and the 3 RCA's re-released and bombard the radio stations with copies. They are all timeless and have wonderful tracks, beautifully interpreted and sung. Beats a lot of today's rubbish hands down. Get the younger generation exposed to real talent.

You know, for me, I was watching music from my childhood on YT (glam rock) and saw a clip of David singing 'Daydreamer' from 1973. It was early January 2009 and I was watching TOTP Xmas specials. That got me thinking about him again. I'd forgotten how beautiful he was!! Couple of days later I searched for PF clips and began a long descent into DC adulation and madness. Ha!
Well, not really madness!! I like to think we critically analyse and appreciate him in a mature and grown up fashion!!
If anyone wanted to reduce me to a helpless Amoeba all they'd have to do is play me David's version of CC Rider/Jenny.
Every time I listen to it, oh, it's so raunchy, I imagine him on the stage gyrating while he sings. I wonder if he does the drums bit too?!!. So envious of those who did see him perform it. Thank goodness it's still on YT, 'bout time Cassidy Live 1974 was re-released.

You mention bombarding radio stations with his albums. If only his albums weren't so hard to find! I just ordered "Dreams" from Amazon but his three RCA releases have vanished from the market once again, I fear. Would LOVE to see Cassidy Live re-released!!
Perhaps not as much fun, you may still be able to get the albums and/or individual songs on the albums as mp3 downloads. I checked into this before Christmas and I believe every one of the songs on all these albums is available for mp3 download.
I can't watch the cc rider video now either. I think perhaps weather, sparse support on holidays, or both may be at work here on those web servers.

I just listened to CC Rider again from Cassidy Live 1974 and you're right British Fan, he is illegally sexy. !!!! This is one of those songs/videos that should carry a "public health warning", as you say. LOL!
And as for Hold On Me, "oh honey...", that voice could charm anything. Listener beware....LOL!!!
