That one is new to me too! DD, I'm amazed at your detective skills, thankyou!

I've seen him pose in that shirt before. I love the pictures where David's hair looks darker, he's so beautiful and photogenic, he looks good enough to eat and I shall stop there!

Oh! His hair! Don't you just want to run your fingers through it? Bury your face in it? I'm going to be ogling this one a lot!! And that face...who could resist?!!!!! Pining...pining.

I found a picture YOU've never seen before, Clodyne?! Wow is right. I never thought that possible :) As you probably saw on the Wiki page, Mr. Warren grants permission to post the picture as long as credit is given. A nice pic to add to your website.

This was in our newspaper at that time, but only black and white. I've seen it around since at photo stores. Not my fav because you can see bit of his acne at bottom lip & circles under eyes.
And LOL I never liked that shirt.

Daydreaming David said...

Yeah, that shirt is of the "what was he thinking?" variety but the acne and under eye circles don't bother me one bit. Sexy eyes are sexy eyes. It would take a lot to hide this man's perfect features.

I just want to smother him with kisses and hugs.

Hi Clodyne! I'm amazed as well that this is a picture you haven't seen!

His eyes really stand out in this photo, they are truly amazing. I actually like the 'acne' being slightly visible, it stops the photo being too perfect, as he had a very feminine 'look' at times. He did notlook so girly on film, only poses that captured his beauty.

I've been reading more about DC on the internet to try and get a sense of who he was....and who is is...
(I've written before about re-discovering DC by accident about six months ago.)
In any case, I kept starring at his face and couldn't think of anything new add to the entry for this topic. I went to Clodyne's page to listen to the live interviews she has kindly posted.

I noticed DC wearing this same (very 1970's patterned) shirt, at at live concert! It's in the interview clip with Geraldo Sept. 1991. Geraldo gives an introduction or overview (whatever you call it) about his early fame, PF and concerts. Look carefully and you'll notice as he sings "I woke up in love this morning..." DC is wearing this shirt.

I am really enjoying most his music. I think Daydreamer and Home is Where the Heart Is are wonderful albums. I'm listening to more songs of his each day that are new to me. And, I think I'm developing a crush on him at age 52! Ha! Well, people throughout history have been starring at paintings and photographed portraits for pleasure for centuries... That's what I've been telling myself. As BF wrote...it's his beauty....Oh...I went back to starring again!

How did you discover him by accident, Enlightened? That's what happened to me about 9 months ago.

His voice is so enjoyable, isn't it? I think it's as beautiful as he looks. I put on one of his CDs and I'm instantly mesmerized.

In answer to your question, Sing Me, I saw a repeat of a television program about famous rock & roll album covers photographed by Henry Diltz. I looked online for more information, which lead me to You Tube, which lead me to Crosby, Stills, Nash album cover, which lead me to DC/Higher album cover....and I said to myself, "oh yeah, I vaguely remember seeing this cover in 1975 in record stores"...which led me to listening to songs from the Higher album on You Tube, which led me to back to PF, which led me to DC fans and countless images of DC, which led me to more DC songs, which led me to this blog and even more images and songs. I also vaguely remember watching some PF shows....I totally missed the craze about DC--until now! Ha! I listen to DC's music on my iPod! That's 70's guy is right here with me in 2010. Ha!

Sounds familiar Anon! Re-discovering him was an absolute delight.

Same here!! lol

Thanks Enlightened! My discovery was a direct hit by the C'Mon Get Happy movie I found myself watching one afternoon. It left me completely stunned about his career and HIM!!! I had missed the craze too! From there I couldn't get on to the internet fast enough. LOL! I did love his voice then. But I moved on when I stopped hearing his music on the radio. I was always doing other things on Friday nights when the PF was on so I missed that too.
