Happy Halloween and other wishes

Posted about a great Halloween song by David a week ago. Go have a listen but come back to wish Happy Birthday to Clodyne! This one's for you, chère amie :-) May the coming year be as generous in its blessings to you as you are to us with your David Cassidy fansite.

Happy Birthday Clodyne! I found the link for your blog daydreamer through her wonderful fansite. A lot of love and devotion has gone into it. Has it gone private cos it looks like you have to log in now. I have never registered on any site before but I think I will have to be brave here as I like it so much, there's still more to read and the pictures are 'to die for'. Do you think she'll mind my trying to join up?

Thank you DaydreamingDavid for the nice birthday wishes.Thank you also for the nice "Partridge Family" video. ;-) I just sat there looking at the video and I couldn't help myself but to shed a tear or two.I don't know what it is about that song but each time I get to hear it I suddenly get a big lump in my throat.Same thing with the song "Summer Days".And recently with all that has been happening with David(we all know by now what went on at the Hollywood Collectors Show) and now listening to the chorus of that song...

"Well suddenly she's crashing through my mind
Like waves upon the shore
And I nod my head, whoa yes love, I'd welcome you again
If you knocked upon my door
If you didn't, I'd seek you out love, I'd track you down for sure
Like a thousand times before
Whoa, yes love,I'd welcome you again like you know I've done before."

...made me confused more than ever about my feelings for him.It felt like twisting the iron in the wood so to speak. But THANKS DaydreamingDavid for the song. After "Summer Days" this song is my all-time favorite.
By the way...I've been reading your blog everyday and I really like it.I know I should participate a bit more..not that I don't want to,but to express some of my thoughts in english is sometimes a bit hard for me since english is not my mother tongue.Well...you know what I mean, right? Anyway...keep up the good work because your blog is really interesting to read. ;-)

And to British Fan: Thanks for the nice birthday wishes.I turned 51 today.Gee I feel old! :-(

Clodyne, there is no minimum participation required here. I'm glad you're enjoying the blog. Corresponding with you gave me the push to start it, remember?

While I don't want to speak for you, I just wanted to share that you learned English at fifteen because you desperately wanted to understand Keith. That's part of David's legacy too ;-) And honestly, you express yourself better in your second language than some do in their mother tongue.

Happy Birthday, dear Clodyne!!! I hope you have the kind of great day and year ahead that you've brought to so many others through your labor of love.

Happy Birthday, Clodyne!
I deleted my MySpace today, because although I had changed my privacy settings to Only friends, my whole name, my page, my URL-address and everything turned up when I searched myself. I don't know why, but I had a chock. How do I find your fan site now?
Have a really nice birthday!
M

Thanks singmedavid for the nice birthday wishes! ;-)

To M: Do I know you from MySpace? LOL

To Daydreaamingdavid: Yeah I remember.LOL And you're right...I learned english mostly by myself because "The Partridge Family" was my favorite show back in 1974...and it was also the first show I got to watch in english. It let me no choice but to learn it.LOL Thanks to Keith, euh I mean David for that! If only David could realize just how many wonderful memories he brought us through the years. And I'm not only speaking for myself here. ;-) Any of you would like to tell me or share what were your first memories about David? Just curious to know. ;-)

Hi Clodyne,

Back in the early 70s, it was his voice and the fact that he was cute. Had I seen more of his images, I might have fallen for him then. But it was the hinting of his copious sexuality in the C'Mon get Happy movie I saw for the first time this summer that so enticed me to find out why he was the most wanted man on the planet: Shirley, "Back stage at one of your concerts is no place for Hugh Hefner." I couldn't find out more fast enough!!! LOL!!!

Clodyne, Happy Birthday! Mine is on Tuesday, I'll be 45. We David Cassidy fans do seem to fall within a certain age range, don't we? :)

Daydreaming, come back tomorrow and tell us how it went on Halloween with DC's Halloween Party playing in the background!

Thank you all for the nice birthday wishes! My birthday went fine and I had a great time. ;-)

Hi everbody, a few days ago I called myself Fan since 1972, yesterday I called myself M in my shock about MySpace and today and in the future I will call myself MaeB, because Mae is my absolute favourite song with David.
Clodyne, you sent me a long reply on my bulletin on MySpace this week, but I guess the bulletin is gone with everything else. I shall create a new account asp.
My first memory of David: I was twelwe, a friend of my showed me her teen magazine, the first ever, and there was this ANGEL, the most beautiful man I had ever seen. His name was David Cassidy and I knew absolutely nothing about him. Effective as I was back then, I soon find out more, but The Partridge Family was to me just the series in where he had had his breakthrough over there in America. I didn't even remember Breaking up is hard to do, which had been a hit in Sweden, where I lived, and which I had liked, but didn't associate with David before I heard it again and actually realized that The Partridge Family was THAT Partridge Family. My first album was Rock Me Baby and my first single I am a Clown.
I have yet not seen The Partridge Family, just some episodes on YouTube. I'm not sure I want to see it, it kind of has nothing to do with "my" David.
Time to get myself I life instead of being here - I'll have my morning coffee. Have a nice day, friends!
PS. This is so much better than MySpace, where everybody loves David all the time and he still is treated like some kind of God. THANK YOU, Daydreaming!

Hmm, I'm a translator and I have to so meticolous in my work that I just don't have the energy to preview my comments here - please forgive all spelling errors, grammatical errors etc. (I only translate FROM English, not the other way around).

Welcome MaeB!! Yeah, I love it here on DD!! I feel like I can talk about things here I wouldn't be able to bring up on other sites. It's fun stuff!!!

I hadn't seen that many episodes of PF, but I like to watch them now because I get to see more of David. They're pretty funny too. Some are hilarious. And actually, watching some of the first season where David wears those tight pants is where I discovered Mr. Happy. I was like, OMG, IS THAT REAL????? Then of course, I was even more interested. LOL!!!!!!

Welcome MaeB, great choice of song and name. Forgive me for being dense/naive singmedavid, but does Mr Happy mean what I think it means? lol! I've heard that name before but wasn't sure what it referred to. Think I MUST get the p/f dvds.. Must be some truth in David's descriptions of his anatomy then.

I meant to say MaeB, that Mae is also one of my favorites. Sing Me is still my favorite for some reason; completely uncharacteristic for me, I know.

Good Morning British Fan, YES, Mr. Happy is what I'm sure you imagine it is. Well, you've by now gotten the drift of my mind: kind of naughty. :-))))))

I've actually researched this at some length (no pun intended), BF, and it really is … quite substantial, putting it mildly. Remember that video Daydreaming David posted about on 10/21 –
Take This Heart, and how crazy I was going over that video? I’ve sought other’s opinions – anyone else, please chime in. If you, or anyone, wants me to send you pictures and videos of him to prove my point, email me at singmedavid@yahoo.com and I will be happy to oblige as I run across them. One of the groupies from back in the day describes him as being the second most, ya know, out of all the rock and rollers she’s been with!!!! Unbelievable, that such a gorgeous creature with such a mesmerizing voice could be blessed with that as well. One of my favorite ways to describe him is that he should be classified as an illegal drug for the lust he encites. LOL!!!!!!

Clodyne said...

OMG! This thread is getting more intereting by the minute.LOL I thought I was the only one to have noticed "Mr.Happy" from time to time.I see that I'm not alone here.LOL ;-)

I'm off to do some research of my own! Funny, I read a comment or two somewhere while flitting around the internet, mentioning Mr Happy. They were rather vague so I thought maybe it was a sarcastic nickname for David cos of his known moodiness or something. This, however, is much more interesting! If you have any 'interesting' articles you can link me to singmedavid I'd be obliged (ok I'd be estatic).
Blessed with everything wasn't he, apart from those demons.

Daydreaming David said...

British fan, I will gladly email you the link to that passage Singmedavid references but I'd appreciate it if it didn't appear here ;-) There's some stuff in it that I find quite vile (not to do with David but it's in the same book) and would rather not publicize it so much. Email me.

Sorry, it was kind of a joke. I know we have to be careful what gets posted and shared around the internet and I wouldn't want anything dodgy repeated here. By the sound of it (groupie's exploits and boasts?) probably best avoided anyhow. Just getting hot under the collar thinking about David's 'attributes'.
