iSlinky!!!

Back in December 2009 (I know, almost 2 years ago!), I shared news that our Mr. Cassidy was slated to record a new jingle for the iSlinky phone app. Well, the clip of him recording it in studio was posted on YT yesterday and over a hundred of you fans (or two fans who've viewed it over fifty times) have seen it.

I love his voice when he sings "a spring, a spring, it's a marvelous thing".

Oh it’s so good to be back! Thank you! Does anyone have this app? I wonder what it does exactly? I think his voice sounds great! Kind of breathy!

Don't know if the app has been released yet. As to what it does, from the clips they show, I'm guessing you watch the slinky move on your screen as you move the phone. Who knows. I'm sure whatever it is, it will be a most constructive and gratifying way to spend your time ;)

Nice 'Fly on the Wall' moment. I wonder if this clip will be appearing in something in the near future, I wonder why it was filmed?!

Always amazes me how effortlessly Cassidy can sing and have perfect pitch. Loved the messing around opera style! Just wish he'd be using his talents in a more constructive way, but at least he's doing something new and different. He still has a voice, hope he makes good use of it in the near future.

Always wondered why he hasn't done a musical theatre project with his brothers, they can all sing really well in musical theatre or any other project. Shame they haven't thought of it. Maybe even tribute it to their father or something.

I love that idea, BF. And I still wish they'd record and tour as the Brothers Cassidy. I think they could be just as good, if not better, than Il Divo. And oh! What eye candy they would be!!!

You're right about David's singing, too. My friend, Elle, recently said that David couldn't sing. SERIOUSLY??? And this from a person who likes Rod Stewart's singing!!! He's OK, but he's not David. I said, "You've just proved to me that you know very little about David Cassidy." If there's one universal truth about David, it's that he can sing!!!

I'll have to send Elle my dental bills, Singme. I'm seriously gritting my teeth reading her opinion :) Ack! I get Rod's appeal but I think his vocals have a lot less nuance (and sex appeal) than Cassidy's. Is Elle open-minded enough to properly listen to one of Cassidy's tracks today and not simply recall it from memory? ;) I've also read someone describe his voice as "straining". Seriously?!?

I also like the idea of the Cassidy brothers working together on a tribute to their father. I'd see it as a one-shot recording project though, not a take it on the road type of show.

Forgot to say: thank you both for your thoughtful comments. Always a pleasure to read you.

Yes, I agree, I forgot to mention the tribute to Jack would be wonderful!!! And maybe they could use the money to finally get a Hollywood Star for Jack.

And, no, Elle is not open minded enough to listen to anything. I sent her the video of him and Shaun on Regis and Kathy singing Tell Me It's Not True, and I'm pretty sure she did not listen to it. Likewise, I don't think she watched/listened to any of the videos I posted on our blog. I'm concluding that she has a challenged ear. LOL!

Thank YOU, for the posts, DD!
